Technology as a Force for Good
Identra Ghana Foundation channels the expertise and resources of Identra Technologies Bureau LTD into building lasting digital infrastructure for Ghana's schools and communities.
Our Mission
To democratize access to digital tools and technology education across Ghana's schools by delivering structured device donations, building digital infrastructure, and empowering students and teachers with the skills needed to thrive in the 21st-century economy.
Our Vision
A Ghana where every student, regardless of geographic location or economic background, has access to the technology and digital literacy skills necessary to participate fully in the global digital economy.
A Multi-Layered Approach to Digital Equity
Device Procurement & Donation
We source quality refurbished and new laptops, iPads, and Android tablets from technology partners and donors, then assess schools' needs before allocation. Every device is tested, configured, and delivered with educational software pre-installed.
School Infrastructure Assessment
Before donation, our team evaluates each school's power supply, storage security, and teacher readiness. This ensures devices are protected, used effectively, and integrated into daily teaching.
Teacher & Administrator Orientation
We run short orientation sessions with school staff on device management, basic troubleshooting, and integrating technology into lessons. Teachers are the key to sustainability.
Impact Monitoring & Reporting
We track utilization rates, student engagement, and device conditions through semi-annual school visits and digital check-ins. All data informs our annual transparency report.
Why Digital Education
Matters in Ghana
Ghana has made significant strides in expanding access to basic education, yet the digital gap remains stark. Millions of students graduate without ever having used a computer — a critical disadvantage in today's economy.
The World Bank estimates that digital literacy could add up to 20% to an individual's earning potential in sub-Saharan Africa. Meanwhile, Ghana's growing tech startup ecosystem urgently needs digitally literate talent pipelines that can only be built from the ground up.
The Ghana Education Service has committed to ICT integration in the national curriculum — but without devices, the policy has no teeth. Identra Ghana Foundation exists to bridge this gap, systematically and at scale.
